Two Lancaster County men are charged with assaulting and kidnapping another man.

State police said Earl Hampton, 42, and Shawn Riley, 39, both of Eden Township, assaulted the victim with a PVC pipe and their fists outside a home on Camargo Road in Providence Township on Sunday afternoon.

Hampton and Riley then allegedly put the man into his own car and drove away. The man and his vehicle were later found along Pond Road in Eden Township.

Troopers reported the victim had a large cut on the back of his head and a fractured wrist. According to state police, the victim was disoriented and said he fell while hiking. In later interviews, he was reluctant to say what happened. State police said he wouldn't state Hampton and Riley assaulted him but also wouldn't deny it.

Hampton and Riley are charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and other offenses.
